Surrey Summit are looking for a new Duty Instructor to join our renowned, friendly team to help keep the centre moving forward as we continue to grow. We have over 70 routes and 80 boulder problems, with regular guest setters such as Leah Crane, Emma Twyford and Ben West. A full-centre redevelopment is also in the works and this is a prime opportunity to be involved throughout as we strive to match and exceed our local competition in both quality of centre and service provided.

This role covers a 36hr/week including mornings, evenings and weekends. You’ll deliver a wide array of sessions including:
•NICAS Levels 1-5
•Schools, Scouts and Youth Groups
•Beginner Courses
•Learn to Lead
•Our very popular kids casual sessions
•Coaching

As a Duty Instructor you will have opportunities with:
•Gaining higher NGB qualifications such as CWLA, RSA and Foundation/Development Coach
•Gaining boulder/route setting experience
•Full use of Surrey Sports Park facilities
•CPD courses through the University of Surrey

Candidates should be CWA Assessed - or close to it, be motivated and keen to help others achieve their climbing aims, have knowledge of NICAS, and bring a hearty sense of humour to keep up with our regulars. You should also have at least 2 years of personal climbing experience, logged previous instructing is desirable.
