Ravens have nested and successfully hatched young on the UPPER BUTTRESS/TIER at Gowbarrow Crag (FRCC Guides:Lake District Rock and Eastern Crags). A restriction of access to ONLY this buttress has been agreed.

Access to the lower and middle buttresses/tiers is unaffected (Please see BMC RAD for notes about group use at this crag)

The normal restricted period to protect Ravens is 15 February to 31 May, any update or extension will be posted here, on the BMC RAD and the FRCC Website.

In reply to Trevor Langhorne:

Hopefully BREXIT will stop all this nonsense. Ravens coming over here and nesting in our buttresses.

They should stick to trees.

In reply to The Lemming: Scuse me, I think you've got that wrong. Ravens is an export success story
