Very sad news from Snowdonia yesterday.
My condolences to the daughter and the man's family.

Very sad. There's always a touch of 'There but for the grace of god' when reading such reports; we've all had narrow escapes. Condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Very sad, especially for the daughter.

I once slipped on a simple scrambly bit and fell about 6 feet, whilst dropping off the summit area via an alternative route which looked more fun. Fortunately I landed on a sticky-out ledge, rather than the 40-50ft drop beyond, though I fair cracked my head and there was plenty of blood. So I know just how easy it is to make a mistake, despite that being at the time of the peak of my climbing ability. I was lucky, this poor chap wasn't.

I hope their day was good before tragedy struck, it just may help the daughter to come to terms with her loss.

My condolences.
