Island peaks / mera leak

Hi
Has anyone ever done an unsupported attempted to do island or mera peak ? Or is it even possible to do in looking to go out to Nepal in October and just wanting to get people's thoughts on the idea

Any advice pointers etc would be greatly appreciated
