I was back in St Helen’s, near Siccar point at the weekend, an area I’ve developed back in 2014/15. I took a break from climbing and hadn’t been there since John Watson released his third version of Stone Country bouldering guide.
I was glad to see the place has received some traffic – the Latha saor boulder was heavily chalked up, especially Ìosal (low traverse).
I just want to say that in my view this line is an eliminate. I sent the info to John because it’s a cool problem, but if I’m being honest, the true line would be to traverse low, rightward, all the way to poor holds, finishing up Tha mi nam shìneadh.
That’s way beyond my abilities though - at the moment or in the future really - but I’d love to know if someone sends it and what method they used.
So if you’ve send it or hear about it, please let me know!
Pierre
