Hi,

I will be in Nepal for 2 weeks at the start of september with my dad. Any advice on which 8-10 day treks we should consider? (we also want some time just exploring the place. Ideally the less touristy the better.

Thanks,
Rowan

I've just planned a trip to do the Annapurna Sanctury Trek in November. 'Could meet your requirements. Can't promise it won't be 'touristy' though.
I've found the Lonely Planet guide particularly helpful.

All the best,

Kyle.

I'd contact Ian and Sarita at "Off The Wall Trekking". They specialise in tailor made trips, from a little walk to an unclimbed peak; from Kathmandu valley to Dolpo. http://www.offthewalltrekking.com/home.html See what they suggest. And give 'em my regards. Cheers. Martin.

Langtang and Helambu (north of Kathmandu) offer good options for shorter treks and are more unspoilt than the Annapurna or Everest regions.
