I note the numbers are from Lord Ashcroft. Given that he had a eve-of-election poll that gave the Tories a 100-seat majority, I reckon a large pinch of salt might be in order.

Some graphs are a real poor representation though. 3 bars for ages 18 to 29, but then 10 year incrementions. It completely misinterprets the younger voters data.

Yes it's almost like people get to retirement and say I've done my bit now screw the rest of you and start voting for self interest. (although if Labour is for the labour force you could argue the same for people of working age)

I do think there needs to be a big push to get more people out voting... we need 84%+ turnout in every age group to get a balanced view
