Hi,

Does anyone have a guide book for Paklenica in Croatia either for sale or to borrow (happy to pay postage)? I am off to Zadar in a couple of weeks time and would like to climb in between exploring the area.

Thanks

Caroline

If you don't manage to get one I think you'll be fine without. Lots of friendly climbers around.

That was my experience anyway.

Hi Caroline,

I've got a copy of Paklenica (by Boris Cujic) which I can sell you if you like.

I thought about £10.00 plus £2.00 postage

Cheers

There is a climbing shop (Iglu Sport) near the petrol station on the left as you come into Starigrad from Zadar, where you can buy the guide if you can't get one before.

You can buy one in the souvenir shop as you walk up the gorge, and it's cheaper than getting it over here.

Hi Caroline.
If you are using Borus' guidebook.
The topos are very good but one thing that caught me out was that not all routes are shown on each topo.
This only applies to the multipitch on Anna kuk.
We were going up the easy D Brahms and we ended up side tracked on a much harder route by following the shiny bolts.
Cue much faffing around in the dark trying to finish and then trying to find the path down. It was only later we realised that there are multiple topos for the same face roughly grouped by grade.
Hope this saves you from a mini epic!
Cheers
John
