Heading out for a climb tonight, what's Dewerstone like on a hot evening? Thinking the trees will provide some shade, but worried that it will be really midgy. Haytor the other obvious option, but no shelter.

Looking for routes from HS-E1, any other suggestions for crags along the south side of Dartmoor?

If the wind drops, Dewerstone will be very midgy, but most of the routes are in shadow by early evening.

We were on Lowman on Friday, it was verging on too hot, and that was with a bit of breeze and cooler temps. I dare say it would be absolutely roasting today!

Chudleigh?

I was surprised how good it was in the sun at the weekend on Haytor and Hound Tor. There looks to be a bit of a light breeze.

Get out and get on it! Gritstone and a tan... What more do you want?

I was going to ask the same question.

Auto-correct. My phone knows what I like.

Loads of options around Torquay in that grade range (Daddyhole Main Cliff, Daddyhole Quarry and Telegraph Hole all good bets). Will be a lot cooler than Chudleigh that's for sure! If you are looking for routes closer to the Moor then Bench Tor is also shaded, but can be midgey if there is zero wind.
Have fun!
