Kentmere boulders this weekend??

Hi Guys,

Not too familiar with the conditions of the boulders in the Lakes. Would Kentmere, little font be ok on Saturday, Sunday as a back up.

Or any other suggestions for one/two pads, good 7a/+ and sub 30 min walk in.

After the weather we've had up here, the kentmere boulders will be absolutely fine.

The 'south lakes' (read north Lancashire) limestone (woodwell, trowbarrow etc) will be in pretty good nick too.

I love Kentmere but at this time of the year you would unlikely to be able to stand still for long enough to put your mat down before being drained of blood by the midges.

I've only had 1 day at little font but it is an absolutely fantastic place!

Many many midges earlier in the week, and very muggy. You will need cooler temps and a breeze for it to be good.
