Eureka tents

Hi all,

Does anybody have any experience of Eureka tents and in particular tents their Breathable Terylene Cotton fabric?

I've spotted an Eureka Sphinx 5+ BTC on the cheap but I can find very little on the fabric, and in particular how breathable (or otherwise) it actually is.

Any general comments from Eureka owners re quality and design also appreciated

Hi Martin,

I happen to work for Eureka, so I could tell you quite a bit on the fabrics/construction etc.

The BTC is a non-coated fabric, which means that its waterproofness comes from the cotton fibers swelling when they get wet. When dry, you can literally breathe trough the fabric if you press your mouth against it, and condensation is not an issue.
