Hi all,

Going up to Skye in September and taking my Dad along.

He is a fit and competent hillwalking but not really in to scrambling and definitely not into climbing.

I have been up on the main Cuillin Ridge but are there any routes to bag one of the main summits that are suitable and enjoyable for a competent hillwalker? Big days out like Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis amongst many others are all under his belt.

Looking forward to reading some nice ideas.

Oh and we are going to be based in Portree.

Cheers.

The four easiest are usually regarded as Sgurr na Banachdaich, Bla Bheinn, Bruach na Frithe and Sgurr nan Eag. All really just rocky walking by their easiest routes, Sgurr nan Eag slightly less so than the others.

Bruach na Frithe and Sgurr na Banachdich are essentially rough hillwalks by their easiest routes - plenty of rock and scree but no scrambling required. Also Bla Bheinn but that's a bit further to drive.

Excellent. I'll look at the routes for those.

Cheers all.

Have a good one and feel free to message Jamie Bankhead Mountaineering (here or on Facebook) if you want more advice on other routes, etc.
