Hi, I'm planning on exploring the Picos de Europa this August and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for campsites. I'll be in a VW campervan and would prefer an electric hook up if poss. The trip will be cycling and walking so easy access to crags not important. (although I'll be having a recce for future climbing trips.)

Any info gratefully received.

We stayed at "camping el cares" and the campsite at Riano, both pretty good and have hookups for campers. The latter is a good choice if the weather is bad as its out of the mountains a bit.

I've stayed at both Camping Picos De Europa in Avin (basic but in a good location for Covadonga and the Cares Gorge) and Camping La Viorna (nice campsite, and conveniently close to Potes). The campsite in Arenas looks reasonable too. Just be aware that it will be very busy in August.
