Hi, I'm currently looking at getting a rope ascender/locking-pulley (micro-traxion, rope-man, etc.) specifically for crevasse rescue and perhaps protecting the leader when simul climbing. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the current devices on the market and which one would be best suited to this role? Rope diameter/s most likely between 8-9mm. TIA
