I'm down in Dorset in a couple of weeks time and was looking for advice of where to go bouldering.
I'm looking for somewhere I can spend a good few hours in pleasant surroundings, mid grade (f5'ish for mileage and a few low to mid f6's), nice landings and not too highball (single mat, no spotter).
I'll be visiting Portland (I have family there), so that looks good but there's so much choice.
Where is most fun that will tube in with the above? (I have the Rockfax Dorset Bouldering Guide).
In reply to afx22: Near the Portland Bill Lighthouse head for the Mugley's Plain area Lighthouse Area, Rockfax Dorset Bouldering describes it accurately: " A quarried area with over 50 vertical problems of a perfect height above predominantly flat landings. The expansive ledge at the base creates a pleasant family-friendly location..."
Grade range F3 - F6b+ loads of F5/5+ routes there.
This photo gives a good idea of the place: https://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.php?id=265187
