Project: Getting to know people that love the outdoors
Location: Your home – ideally in / around the following locations; Bristol, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow
The opportunity: To take part in market research for an outdoors brand
Reward: up to £170 in cash for taking part *depending on the phases you complete

Trinity McQueen are a market research company who work with a wide range of brands and retailers to understand what consumers think and how to improve the products and services they deliver.

About the project

We are working with an outdoor brand to better understand what the outdoors means to you. We will be looking at everything from how you first got into the outdoors, to what activities / training you do, to the kit you can’t live without & why.

Helping us to help our client better understand today’s outdoor audience and what you need and want from your outdoor kit.
Once the research is finished, we will be able to share with you who our client is!

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a variety of people to take part in our study. We would like to speak to people who take part in one or a range of activities including everything from climbing and mountaineering, to fell running, hiking and walking.

We are also interested in speaking to a range of people who climb & mountaineer in the UK and those who climb & mountaineer abroad.

Although our focus will be in the following geographical locations, we will try to be flexible & are open to speaking to people who live in & around the surrounding areas:
• Bristol
• Sheffield
• Leeds
• Manchester
• Glasgow

What is involved?

The project has three potential elements that will take place in August 2017 to early September – each is designed to allow us to get to know you in more detail.

Phase one: early August – 10 short tasks that can be completed over a 10 day period via an app on your smartphone or tablet. Should take no more than 10-15 mins per day and will include short written tasks, uploading photos/screenshots and a couple of short videos.
Reward for this element: £50

Phase two: early-mid August – we may invite you to spend 2 hours with a Trinity McQueen researcher in your home once you have completed the online tasks. This will allow us to get to know you better by finding out what is important to you, your relationship with the outdoors and the clothes, footwear and kit you own.

Ideally, we would also like you to take us somewhere close that you use to walk / hike, climb or do another outdoor activity. This is not essential, but it would be great to get to understand your lifestyle & training habits a little more.
Reward for this element: £70

Phase three: early September – we may then invite you to spend another 1-2 hours with a Trinity McQueen researcher in your home but this time it will involve a cameraman so we can film some of your responses helping us to bring the research to life for our client. This may also involve a short trip to a local area where you do your main outdoor activity (e.g. local crag, walk, indoor wall etc.).
Reward for this element: £50

Our visits can be conducted during the day, evening or on a weekend. We can try to be as flexible as possible!
We adhere to the Market Research Society guidelines and everything you say will be completely confidential and anonymous. All filming will be used for internal purposes only.
