Just for correctness, Simon died whilst descending the voie normale of the central pillar of the Aiguilles D'Arves. He was soloing, training for his final summit...

Thanks for that. I was very saddened to hear of Simon's death. I'd noticed that there were some differences in the reports, the first of which suggested that he'd just attained that summit. My condolences.

I repeat my condolences to all concerned, and if I may, as an alpinist, particularly to his partner Wayne with whom he did so many fine routes.
