Anybody got/read the latest/3rd edition of

Training for Climbing: The Definitive Guide to Improving Your Performance (How to Climb Series)
by Eric J. Horst (2016)

Any good?
Any useful info/details/examples for creating your own training plan?

I've got The Rock Climber’s Training Manual by M. Anderson (very good guide and examples for creating your training plan) and was looking for a new source of ‘knowledge’!

Thanks

Haven't read it but his stuff is generally pretty good.

I think Logical Progression is also meant to be about creating training plans. Not read that either but there's a 2 part podcast about it:

I've been using it for the last few months. It's worked well for me, he's good on the tactics / mental side and there are loads of good exercise ideas including core / antagonists etc. I haven't read the Anderson brothers' book but it might cover a lot of the same ground? A friend who had both seems to be using the Horst training plan so that might say something though. He has some spreadsheets up for free on his site with training plans on them that might be worth checking out.
