Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone knew an alternative to buying complete set of poles from Terra Nova for the Cosmos tent. They are quoting £600 pound sterling uk

I was hoping to donate the tent to my child's scout group but I don't want to folk out that amount of money

You could try contacting Scottish Mountain Gear re making up a pole set?

are they likely to be carrying the tent anywhere? if weight is not an issue you could substitute the posh alloy ones for cheap fiberglass ones which you could probably salvage from an old tent off gumtree or E-bay. All you'd need to know is the pole lengths which shouldn't be too hard to find or work out.

Can I ask, what's actually wrong with poles it came with? That's such a specialist tent I would have thought the poles were super strong.
