Hello folks
I am an MIA (Mountaineering Instructor Award) trainee, looking for one or two people who would like a free day of instruction and guiding in the Lakes on Thursday 14th September. Ideally you will have started climbing outdoors and are familiar with the basics e.g. Tying in, belaying, and are looking to progress to some multipitch climbing, whilst picking up skills. However, if you have less experience than this, or indeed more (e.g. needing some help with starting to lead) that could also work.
Location depends on weather etc. but likely to be Borrowdale.
As an MIA trainee I do not, as yet, hold the Mountaineering instructor Award which is the recognised training qualification for the instruction of scrambling and multi-pitch rock climbing in the UK. I've undergone the training course, but training for an award does not constitute a qualification.
