Anyone got an approximate figure for the weight of a case of six Bottles of wine please?
Excess baggage purposes. If checked along with, but not packed in your bag(is one rucksack plus one case) is it included in your overall baggage allowance?

about 7-8Kg. Posher wine is often put in heavier glass bottles so be careful

Won't 70cl (per bottle) weigh roughly 700g?
Add on the glass, times it by 6. Maybe 5kg?
Only you can judge how much the case weighs.

Just weighed 6 bottles I bought back from Germany - 6.8kg

Wine comes in 75cl bottles

I am sure that it will be included in your overall allowance. I do not see why it would ever be excluded

Thanks, do with a sack weight of sub 10kg I should be ok.

About 7kg. And while we're still in the eu you can bring back as much as you like and the weight doesn't count.

Not always. Some Swiss wines come in 70cl bottles.

Just had a delivery of a case of 13 bottles from Virgin.

Total weight 16 kg including packing ie 1.23 per bottle*, so 6 bottles would be 7.38 kg Say 7.5 to allow for the packing.

* Bottles are 750 ml

Liquid headache. In that area, better get a nice Petit Arvin.. The Terroir Monte Rosa also has amazing labels.....

Went for three bottles instead of six. Wrapped them in socks, sweaters etc. Sack weight 12.5 Kg
