Around 7 weeks ago I posted a rather vague query requesting advice for a trip to South America, and received lots of helpful responses.

Firstly I'd like to thank all of those who replied.
Secondly - here is a very brief summary!
I got home late on Saturday night after a 3 week trip which went as follows:

Lima via Miami, Sat 26 Aug. Fly to Cusco 27 Aug. Acclimatise 28-29 Aug. 4 day Salkantay trip with Machu Picchu at the end (with additional "Machu Picchu Montana", well worth the slog in the heat).

"Rest day" spent searching for an open clinic to sell me a yellow fever vaccination as required for entry to Bolivia.
4th September fly to Bolivia. Nobody mentioned the vaccination certification.

5 Sep overnight bus to Uyuni for 3 day Salar de Uyuni tour, then fly back to La Paz Fri 8 to literally sleep for 5 hours before getting a bus to Arequipa via Copacabana and Puno (no long stays, no floating islands etc).

Arrive Arequipa 5am on a Sunday morning utterly confused about time
Lazy day just visiting San Catalina monastery.
White water rafting the next day, then 2 day Colca Canyon trip, then some downhill biking the day after that, then fly back to Lima just for a night and a day before my flight back to the UK.

And that's it in a nutshell.

I need another holiday after all that!
