Does anyone have any idea if a surfboard bag (including two surfboards - 12kg) would come under 'Large Sports Item' or 'Sports Equipment' on a Ryan Air flight?

Neither this page (link below) or any other on Ryan Air's site (or the web generally) seems to specify the dimensional limit for both options, only a weight limit of 20kg for both.

I've tried contacting them but all their channels are non responsive, presumably because of the volume of emails/calls/contact requests they're getting due to flight cancellations.

Any help greatly appreciated...

I agree with the guy above. Cancel the flights and boiok with someone else. You already probably realise you're going to get shafted by them whatever you get told on the phone (if you ever get through) so beat them to it is my advice.

If enough people take this advice, I reckon there are going to be some fantastic deals available on Ryanair coming up in the next few months
