Halldale Quarry, Matlock: new restaurant and cafe

Good news...there will be a café in Halldale quarry.
Probably won't be able to climb there any longer though.

Technically you can't climb there now, so you are not exactly comparing like for like in your statement. Halldale is a grotty man made hole in the ground as is Cawdor, I can t help thinking some landscaping and new houses might be the better option for Matlock.

I think Harpur hill has some merit! It's stunning blue shore line, attractive outlook.

I always though the spectre walls were a very worth while local session. quick to dry fairly solid and compact..

Also development happening in Lorry park. Not sure how that will effect the climbing.
