Flickering adverts on UKC

Anyone else find them f*ing irritating, particularly the "Apache Light Plus" rock shoes one? Yes, it catches your attention all right, but it's OTT and puts me right off ever wanting to buy them ...

Agreed, but I actually don't want to go down that route, because I enjoy reading the more sane adverts.

I know the ones you mean and will feed this back to the advertiser.

The banners in question have actually been up on site for a few years now and could probably do with a change. I'll see if we can get something less flashy through this time.

Funnily enough I emailed them about their banners yesterday, should be updated ASAP

I agree with you - static adverts are fine but the flashy ones make me reach for the 'tool that shall not be mentioned'.
I think it would be less annoying with smooth transitions.
