Out with my dog this morning near Windermere I was treated to a low level flyover from what I think was a V-22 Osprey https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Boeing_V-22_Osprey

Reading the local news and putting 2 and 2 together I'm guessing it was these guys...

I was climbing at Wallowbarrow in the summer and a V22 Osprey flew through the valley below us; awesome !

They've been seen in the Eden Valley by a friend not far away, but I'm just having to make do with low flying Chinooks and Typhoon dogfights till I see one. And the odd Apache of course

They USAF Ospreys are based at RAF Mildenhall down in Suffolk, they do head north for low level training regularly.

Horrible horrible horrible vehicles.

Never again.

Feels like you're flying inside something designed and put together by a group of fourteen year olds in D&T class.

And has the crash statistics to corroborate.

I was only ever more scared in a sea stallion.
