See everyones favourite auction site, item number 182931726104

Would anybody seriously consider buying and using homemade axes?

They're very impressive for home made.

I'd climb with axes I'd made.....

I'd probably trust something I made myself but I wouldn't trust something made DIY by someone else.
Seeing how those axes are made of stainless they probably weigh a load more than a pro manufactured axe.

"You want regret it."

Those picks look gnar as hell tho!

In a similar light a recent post one the Rjukan FB group showed up a pair of home made axes from wood, a little like the Kronos axes. Saw some more pics and they looked very good.

True.

I just don't think I'd want to test out someones DIY skills whilst torquing my way up anything, to be fair, so would climbing on anything I made. I'm not exactly a master fabricator

I avoid every ones favourite auction site. Too much stolen and fake merchandise on there.
If these axes are not good, do you want to find out half way up something steep, just when they really need to be good!

Just to clarify, I'm not buying them, bidding or needing new axes. I was just looking through Ebay and was intrigued by the thumbnail and had a look. I personally wouldn't climb on homemade, untested axes, I also think theres an issue about selling untested axes. I was just curious about other peoples thoughts.

I also avoid that site. Doubtful you would have any comeback if it went wrong.

Shafts and handles look like a straight Nomic copy (fair enough) but what on earth were they thinking with those picks?!

Looks like someone confused a Tami Knight cartoon for an actual engineering drawing...

Have a look at the items sold under the profile seems to have a good line in selling sand that contains gold.

What do you say when someone steals your gold sand?
