Hi All

Does anyone know if any crags around Buttermere & St Bees tend to be dry this time of year, or are likely to be in condition for climbing?

Thanks
James

I've climbed on Grey Crag (Buttermere) in warm sunshine in December when everything in the shade nearby was frozen solid

You do know that the Lakes is covered in snow and temperatures are sub zero?

Buckstone How dries fast and has a super quick approach, and faces SW. Buckstone How However its high up.
Personally I would boulder at St Bees or go for a walk over Melbrek and have a pint at the Kirkstile inn.

Thanks, I'll take a look here. Even if any of the lower pitches nearby are dry - that'd be good, I'll take my boots if it's wet!

Great - thanks for the heads up. We'll take the boulder mat, just in case
