I have wide palms but short fingers, and the fingers of all the gloves I try on are too long compared to the width. Any suggestions of a suitable make/model? Thanks

Outdoor research, Montane and Mountain Equipment seems better suited to smaller fingers.

Failing that mittens are warmer than gloves with the trade off on dexterity.

Try some large women's gloves instead?

I'd be happy to hear some suggestions for this problem too, especially if anyone can narrow this down to mid weight long finger cycling gloves.

Check out this recent thread if you haven't seen:

I put a longer reply on there but essentially I also have large palms and shorter thicker fingers and find ME and OR to generally be the best fit. ME Randonnees are particularly good for most things except knuckle-pummeling ice if you don't mind shorter cuffs.

Good luck in The Search!

I'm the same, short fat stubby fingers and wide palms and the only Winter gloves that fit well are from Black Diamond, Outdoor Research aren't back either!

Just realised how my post can be read to mean totally the opposite from what I meant. 0/10 for clarity.

I meant, full fingered gloves with a relatively short finger length.
So much closer to your OP than it seems.

... and even the phrase "full-fingered" is open to misinterpretation. What a minefield language is!

Indeed, and I've never been very good at using it.
