Any up to date info on minor roads and passes? Wondering particularly about access to Buttermere via any of the passes.

Try the traffic/roads page on Cumbria Police's website. Usually has fairly up to date information on road closures, including the passes 

In reply to CathS: Cumbria police currently showing Honister closed, Newlands has been closed this week and likely to be v risky tomorrow with ice. Whinlatter currently open.
