US journalist Elizabeth Hawley, chronicler of Himalayan ascents living in Kathmandu since 1960, has passed away at the age of 94 following a short battle with pneumonia.

Incidentally François Damilano climbed and named Peak Hawley (beside Putha Hiunchuli) in 2008 not 2014

She sounds an amazing woman, never climbed a mountain, but fascinated by mountaineering, and obviously contributed a lot by her record keeping. Thanks for posting
