Tom Randall has made the first trad ascent of Spain's hardest crack. Nice one Tom!

Can someone please enlighten my as to what is meant by "fixed natural protection" on the original ascent?

Is this just an obscure way of saying pre-placed gear?

Watching the video of the original ascent, that is indeed what is meant. Cams are pre-placed all the way up the crack.
