I got a good deal on atomic backland carbon boots, though they are a little tight on the instep.  Has anyone got experience of baking the boots using the memory fit process to great more space on the instep.  I know the boots are designed to expand about 5mm width wise, but not sure if it's possible to create much room on the instep?

Thanks

Daryl

You could try removing or changing the insole (if it has one) to reduce the volume / height of the instep. Superfeet have different colours with more/less instep.

In reply to IainAhh:Agree, try modifying or removing the insole, wearing thinner socks or compressing the inner boot. I have used wood clamps on the latter.

if the boots are new, I definitely wouldn’t recommend rushing into anything drastic as the inner will compress with frequent used and a lot of these initial problems improve as the inner wears in IMHO.

Don't buy them if they don't fit....
