Can a motorbike be covered under buildings and contents insurance if stored inside a house? It would be declared SORN.

I doubt it very much, suspect motor vehicles will be amongst the exclusions in the small print.

What exactly are you hoping to insure against?

If it is SORNED long term you certainly used to be able to get lay up policies that just covered theft from your locked garage and damage if the house burnt down.

Against theft. My thinking being more secure inside than next to drive outside. Plus it's warm and dry!
