Evening all,

So I have a pair of these for an upcoming trip later this year.

I'm used to breaking in boots so started wearing them around the house etc and noticed that they are ridiculously squeaky when moving around, or even flexing my feet.

My question to those who have used this boot is this...

Is this normal? I will obviously persevere but I've never known a boot to squeak like this when it's being broken in.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there, both laminate flooring and carpet.

Pretty certain squeaking is coming from the boots rather than the soles (if that makes sense!)

It is normal and it doesn't improve. It's the inner bootie doing this.

By the way, just to confirm, you do mean the old version and not the current Millet Everest Summit GTX?

Hi there,

Thanks. Yes, the older red and black with the silver writing down the front.

I guess I'll have to put up with it then! :-D

Yep, that's what I found too, back when I wore the old orange and black ones.

Once you're outside, crunching on snow, it's windy, you're breathing heavy, plus other climbing noises, you don't notice it so much.

Thanks Damo. I was hoping you'd show up and give me the benefit of your experience!

Cheers.
