I'm Edinburgh based and my mate is in Lincoln, and I'm looking to introduce him to Sport climbing somewhere conveniently midway between us.

Can anyone recommend a crag or three that would have enough sport climbing to entertain a total beginner (so, 4s and 5s) and have enough 6s to keep me entertained at the same time?

Alternatively, what guidebook should I buy?!

Cheers!

Giggleswick South and  Giggleswick North sounds like your best bet.

Northern Limestone covers them.

Thanks a lot, they look perfect. If anyone else has suggestions I'd love to have a few options

Robin Proctor's Scar for good easier routes and a nice situation

ditto  Stony Bank (Stoney Bank)

Usual proviso there's some loose stuff here and there but more inspiring imo than the Giggleswicks
