Chamonix Conditions

Hi, just wondering what current conditions are like. Aware that most of the lift sysyems aren't fully open yet and it looks pretty warm this coming weekend. The La Chamionarde logbook seems to be showing mostly ski routes. How much snow is still around both on the Mont Blanc side and the Aiguille routes? Thanks for any info, Katie.

The Midi lift has been shut during the last week but Skyway is running. We were up at the Torino hut the other night - mix of skiers and climbers. Really good snow cover with people booting up the Gervasutti couloir/skiing N face of the Tour Ronde. We did the normal route which is otherwise prone to rockfall without the impressive snow cover that is there at the moment. Check out info on Rob Jarvis's news page:
