The priming pad in my Primus Omnifuel has disintegrated. I have a replacement on order, but would like to use the stove before the replacement arrive. What can be used instead?

Can you get hold of priming paste at short notice? No need for a pad there.
Alcohol hand wash gel will work in a pinch but it makes a filthy mess when you burn it.
Always used to use scraps of cardboard in old skool primus stoves. Soak with paraffin and they'll burn away once the fuel is consumed.
