Removed mallion and ring from the lower off, Thomas the tank. Someone had a lucky escape. Mallion was completely open. Could tighten shut. Dropped it in to V12.

That should of read, couldn’t tighten shut.

Well done for reporting this, not sure why you had a couple of dislikes unless they were confused by your typo.

In my opinion.....

ALL SPORT CLIMBERS SHOULD CARRY AN ADJUSTABLE SPANNER.

Couldn’t work it out either, that’s why I corrected my mistake. Unfortunately it was bent enough that a Leatherman couldn’t get enough purchase  to close. No way I was leaving it. Was only a couple of mm open, don’t think it’d of held my mass!
