In reply to UKC News:

Really sad news. Charles was a bit of a hero of mine when I started as a teenager. The mythology around Stealth and his exploits in Yosemite were a big part of the climbing history I bought into. The shot of a young Leo Houlding on what was to become The Prophet was iconic; bold ground up climbing into unknown territory, and what was he wearing? Pink Anasazis - that sealed it for me.

It was real pleasure chatting with Charles for the two episodes of Factor Two, I'd hoped to able to do a more in depth interview in person at some point.
