Apparently many (most/all) climbing insurance policies don't cover destinations within the Arctic circle as part of their standard package - presumably Lofoten included. Anyone found an affordable solution to this? Thanks.

Covered by BMC insurance, I believe. (At least that's what I had when I was out there.) Check with the BMC.

BMC specifically says :"Norway (excluding Svalbard)", so covers Lofoten.

I think Snowcard cover it. I'm pretty sure I used them when I went to Lofoten a few years back anyway, though I didn't need to use the insurance to test it...

Thanks for the replies. Our AAC policy won't cover islands; after further research, we're going to take out a BMC policy (about £50 pp for the trip).
