I was in Ambleside the other week and fancied a spot of bouldering but we'd only brought gear for sport (we arrived by train and decided the mat was too much hassle...) so, although we did do a bit, we were limited to low level stuff. I was in the Alpkit shop later that week and was asking if they had ever considered hiring mats, the bloke in the shop said he thought it might well be in the pipeline but wasn't sure. I emailed Alpkit HQ and the idea seemed to get a fairly warm reception.
So, does anyone else think they'd make use of a hire facility and, if you do, can you let Alpkit know? Surely I can't be the only punter who either can't or can't be arsed taking a mat to the lakes but would like to do the odd afternoon down at Langdale or the likes...
