Is anyone else using these and finding the wrist loops fray really quickly?

I had a pair which started fraying on the first use, I returned them and the replacements have done exactly the same.

I'm reluctant to replace again if the same thing is going to happen again which is a shame as I really like them otherwise.

I had the same, albeit from 2014. I got them replaced once and made some sturdier replacements from some scraps of leather. Crap design.

Are they the same on the Alu ones or have they changed them on the newer models ? Mine have been fine, although they are a bit coarse and wore my skin away on my thumbs on a long ultra, which was probably more painful than my knees would have been without them !

Not sure if it's the same or not. Mine are thin webbing with quite an open weave. The edges are poorly heat sealed.
