i can't decide between the numo and cloudbase. was going to go numo but put off by a ukc review

main concern is durability eg rocky terrain with no groundsheet

numo is described as 210T nylon TPU, cloudbase 20D nylon with TPU laminate...

I've a cloudbase. It's very comfy and packs very small and light (at least compared to my previous thermarest). Only used it with a ground sheet on grass so I can't comment on it's durability but no issues so far. It has a simple but effective valve which helps a lot when blowing it up.

2 slight negatives:

The material is slightly translucent which means you can see the drops of condensed moisture from your breath which is a bit odd, I preferred the ignorance of the opaque fabric of the thermarest.

The valve isn't at the end so getting all the air out is difficult.

I have a cloud base, packs small, lightweight and very comfortable to sleep on.

I always use a ground sheet with it as it doesn't feel that durable in the long term.  I just use a cheap plastic survival bag as a ground sheet as I carry one every time in the hills anyway so no extra weight to carry.

Would i buy another one, definitely!!

Definitely dry it out after use as you can see the condensation droplets and I worry about mould etc.  After trips i inflate it and put it in the house to dry out.

Not used the Numo so can't compare.
