NEWS: New Mont Blanc Miage Face line by Richardson and Rinn

Simon Richardson and Micha Rinn have established a new line on the right side of the Miage face on Mont Blanc, which they've named Perfect Storm (700m, ED1, 6a+). According to mountaineering historian Luca Signorelli, this is the first new route on the face since 1989.

Yes, and Simon's 58 and even Micha is no spring chicken at 48. Getting out of that storm and down to the Vallot represented years of experience and major commitment to serious  climbing in the Alps and elsewhere. Carpe diem, Simon.

What a great few days! John Barker and l summited twice in a week in a ferocious storm on both occasions, adds spice to main event. Keep it up Simon.
