Yes, and Simon's 58 and even Micha is no spring chicken at 48. Getting out of that storm and down to the Vallot represented years of experience and major commitment to serious  climbing in the Alps and elsewhere. Carpe diem, Simon.

Fantastic. A rest day in the Vallot Hut is pretty out there by itself. The rest is brilliant.

The same thought went through my mind - I'm sure Bonatti's ghost would have smiled on the undertaking. Great work!
