This is probably a daft question, but the elastic headband on my Petzl headtorch has got very loose & floppy with age. As the torch is otherwise fine I don't want to buy a new one, so does anybody know whether replacement bands are available separately, or alternatively where I could just buy the right sort of elastic strap?

Replying to myself after a moment's googling: replacement adjustable headbands are available, sez Petzl: https://www.petzl.com/NL/en/Professional/FAQ/replace-adjustable-headband-he.... But from where?

Had a quick search for you...

Probably best bet: https://www.facewest.co.uk/Petzl-Spares-E04999.html

Needlesports could order it for you: https://www.needlesports.com/4106/products/petzl-replacement-elastic-strap-...

Never heard of this website, but cheapest: https://www.snowleader.co.uk/en/bandeau-rechange-gris-tikkina-tikka-PETZ002...

My best advice? Double the amount you'd pay for the strap itself and get some modern headlight that will shine brighter. Petzl Tikka can be found for £18 ( http://www.wiggle.co.uk/petzl-tikka-headlamp-1/ ). Maybe I am using my head torch less, but the straps seem to outlast the technology.

It is very easy to make your own for very little cost.  You can omit the adjustment buckles of you size it to your head.  But you'll need adjustment if you use it on head and helmet.

Phone Lyon Equipment Petzl UK distributor +44 (0)15396 24040 and see how much they quote you. They have send me free replacement parts for Petzl in the past for free. Jus sayin
