Hi all

i was wondering if anyone would happen to know the conditions on Snowdon right now. This weekend looks dandy fine weather wise but unsure if there’s any snow about towards the summit or at the end of the pyg track to determine what kit to take; Crampons and axes or just boots.

It has been about 12 degrees in Bangor for the last few days so I wouldn’t expect there to be any snow on the top at the moment. I’ve not been up this week though, so it’s really an educated guess.

Ha, well You never know. It’s Snowdon after all. Was up there in March in full sun, dry and warm all the way to the miners/pyg junction and then hit the snowline. summit was buried and sub zero with the wind chill. Also was up tryfan two weeks ago with patches of snow
