Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows of any bouldering near Worcester? I know there’s some in the wye valley but wondering if there is anything else preferably a bit closer. The easier it is the better too.

Thanks

Stu

I lived in Worcester up until a couple of years ago, Im afraid the pickings are a bit thin. Cleeve Hill near Cheltenham has some bits, and there is Southstone Rock and the tiny bits on the Malverns... None of which ever got me motivated to go out and boulder! The best 'local' stuff would be down in the Wye Valley. The Huntsham sandstone has some better rock. It can be in poor condition though. Best of luck!

Thanks James, I thought that was the case as I’ve been here a few years and haven’t found much yet. Will have a look at some of the places you’ve mentioned

I'll second the Huntsham sandstone bouldering. For the small drive up the m50/a40 to Symonds yat it's well worth it. It's spread out but has some gems.

Let me know if you want more info...
