Rab proflex alpine waterproof?

What are peoples experiences with any of the Rab proflex jackets? (e.g. the Kinetic Plus or new Kinetic Alpine)

I'm heading to the alps this summer for my first time and I'm wondering if one of these could be carried and relied upon as a waterproof layer? It appeals due to the high breathability, lightweight, comfort and the 10,000mm HH rating.

I imagine it would only really be used potentially on walk ins if it rained, and then carried as an 'emergency' layer if caught out by the weather - it could be worn under a synthetic jacket (Rab Nebula Pro) if needed.

Due to its versatility it could double up as a soft-shell layer.

The alternative would be to take my Mountain Equipment Lhotse goretex pro shell, but this seems overkill and heavy.

Any advice appreciated! Cheers.
