Anyone know how much snow is left on the main ridge?

Thinking of a quick hit tomorrow...

Cheers

Negligible amounts snow. Hot and sunny today and most yesterday. Fantastic conditions. Will post photos later on FB

Some photos up on All Things Cuillin. Not much snow on Sgurr nan Gillean end of ridge and even less as you head towards other end at Gars-bheinn.

Heading up next week if the weather's good enough, would you say crampons aren't necessary on the ridge now?

Hi, I was up on Sgurr nan Gillean, Am Basteir and Bruach na Frithe yesterday, all fine with approach shoes, avoidable snow and very soft. The abseil point in Kings Cave Chimney has been excavated too.

Not going to need crampons/axe unless there's a huge change in weather over weekend which isn't forecast. Did Dubh Slabs today and minimal snow in sight anywhere on ridge.

Thanks for the info guys. Did the traverse today, conditions don't get much better, dry, clear and cool.

Like above no need for winter gear, fine in trainers.

Thanks for giving my excavation a mention. Spent a lovely day without winter gear doing the coir a bhasteir round 🙂
